DG Gurry opens Poland's Exhibition "Best Porcelain Design" at WIPO

WIPO's Director-General Francis Gurry, Polish Ambassador Mr. Remigiusz Henczel, the President of the Polish IP Office Ms. Alicja Adamczak and Ms. Katarzyna Rij the Representative of AS Cmielow Porcelain Manufactory have officially opened the "Best Porcelain Desigh" exhibition. The exhibition marks the fifty-fourth series of meetings of the Assemblies of the Member States of WIPO this year.

In his message, the Director-General underlined that "Every day, patents, trademarks, industrial designs and other forms of intellectual property support the work of inspired creators like those of Cmielow. They help by ensuring that these creators are able to support their families via sustainable livelihoods and by promoting the smooth functioning of an increasingly global marketplace where high-quality items can find acclaim in distant regions."

AS Cmielow Porcelain Manufactory specializes in handmade porcelain production and cultivates traditions of the Swit Factory in Cmielow. Thus the tradition of porcelian production dates back to 1804.
