Five leading technology transfer offices (TTOs) in the Western Cape, South Africa, met on a quarterly basis to share knowledge and good practices.

Participants from the TTOs of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), Medical Research Center (MRC), Stellenbosch University (SUN), University of Cape Town (UCT) and University of the Western Cape (UWC) discussed TTO organogram structures, TTO processes, funding and TTO skills development.

Ms. Lien Verbauwhede, representative of WIPO, participated as a guest speaker and gave an overview of WIPO’s tools and services to support technology transfer.
