Daphne is a Legal Officer in WIPO's Traditional Knowledge Division.  Prior to joining WIPO, she was a Lecturer in Intellectual Property Law at the University of Reading in the UK, and a Visiting Lecturer in Trademark Law at King’s College London and Queen Mary, University of London. Daphne holds an LLM in IP Law from University College London and a PhD from Queen Mary. Her thesis focused on the use of existing intellectual property rights to protect traditional cultural expressions.

Claudio is a Legal Officer in the Traditional Knowledge Division of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Prior to joining WIPO, he was Research Fellow at the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations (IDDRI) and Lecturer in "Biodiversity Policies" and “Public International Law” at the Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) in Paris. He was also Senior Advisor to the Italian Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea. In this capacity, on behalf of the Italian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, he negotiated at the 12th Meeting Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity and related meetings. He trained as a lawyer and holds a Degree in Law from the University of Milan and a Master’s Degree in Advanced International Legal Studies from the University of Verona. In January 2010, he was awarded a Ph.D. in law from Queen Mary, Centre for Commercial Law Studies, University of London.

Hai-Yuean is currently an Indigenous Fellow in WIPO’s Traditional Knowledge Division. Prior to joining WIPO, she worked in private practice specializing in Maori legal issues, focusing on traditional knowledge and the Wai 262 Report, as well as commercial property. Hai-Yuean also worked for the Samoa Law Reform Commission on a project looking at the establishment of a National Heritage Board for Samoa, and assisted with the traditional knowledge project. More recently, she worked for the Samoa Office of the Ombudsman establishing the National Human Rights Institution. She holds a Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws (First Class Honors) from the University of Waikato. She is also admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court to New Zealand and Samoa.

Дафна работает в Отделе традиционных знаний ВОИС сотрудником по правовым вопросам.  До ВОИС она преподавала право интеллектуальной собственности в Университете Рединга в Соединенном Королевстве, а также читала лекции по праву товарных знаков в Кингс-колледже (Лондон) и Лондонском университете королевы Марии.  Дафна имеет степень магистра права Университетского колледжа Лондона и докторскую степень Университета королевы Марии.  В своей диссертации она рассматривала применение существующих прав интеллектуальной собственности для охраны традиционных выражений культуры.

Клаудио также работает в Отделе традиционных знаний Всемирной организации интеллектуальной собственности (ВОИС) сотрудником по правовым вопросам.  До перехода в ВОИС Клаудио работал научным сотрудником в Институте устойчивого развития и международных отношений и читал лекции по темам «Политика в области биоразнообразия» и «Международное публичное право» в Парижской школе международных отношений.  Он также был старшим советником итальянского Министерства окружающей среды, земельных и морских ресурсов. В этом качестве, представляя Италию, председательствовавшую в Совете Европейского союза, он участвовал в переговорах на 12-м заседании Конференции сторон Конвенции о биологическом разнообразии и других соответствующих встречах.  Он получил юридическое образование и имеет степень юриста Миланского университета и степень магистра международного права Веронского университета.  В январе 2010 г. Клаудио получил степень доктора юридических наук в Центре исследований торгового права Лондонского университета королевы Марии.

Хай-Юань – стипендиат в Отделе традиционных знаний ВОИС.  До ВОИС она вела частную практику и специализировалась на юридических проблемах маори, связанных с традиционными знаниями, решением Трибунала Вайтанги 2011 г. (Wai 262) о правах интеллектуальной и культурной собственности маори, а также с коммерческой недвижимостью. В составе Комиссии по реформированию законодательства Самоа Хай-Юань работала над проектом по учреждению Совета по национальному наследию Самоа, а также участвовала в реализации проекта в области традиционных знаний. В последнее время по поручению Канцелярии омбудсмена Самоа она занималась созданием национального органа по правам человека. Она имеет степени бакалавра и магистра права (с отличием) Университета Вайкато. Она также выступает солиситором и барристером в Высоком суде Новой Зеландии и Самоа.

Daphné Zografos Johnsson exerce les fonctions de juriste au sein de la Division des savoirs traditionnels de l’OMPI.  Avant d’intégrer l’OMPI, elle a été chargée de cours en droit de la propriété intellectuelle à l’Université de Reading (Royaume‑Uni) et en droit des marques à King’s College London et Queen Mary, à l’Université de Londres.  Mme Zografos Johnsson est titulaire d’une maîtrise en droit de la propriété intellectuelle de l’Université College de Londres et d’un doctorat obtenu à Queen Mary.  Sa thèse a été axée sur l’utilisation des droits de propriété intellectuelle en vigueur pour protéger les expressions culturelles traditionnelles.

Claudio Chiarolla est juriste au sein de la Division des savoirs traditionnels de l’Organisation Mondiale de la Propriété Intellectuelle (OMPI).  Avant de rejoindre l’OMPI, il était chercheur à l’Institut du développement durable et des relations internationales (IDDRI) et chargé de cours en “politiques en matière de diversité biologique” et “droit international public” à l’École des affaires internationales de Paris (PSIA), à Paris.  Il a également exercé les fonctions de conseiller au Ministère italien de l’environnement, de l’aménagement du territoire et de la mer.  À ce titre, il a été négociateur, dans le cadre de la présidence italienne du Conseil de l’Europe, à la douzième réunion de la Conférence des Parties à la Convention sur la diversité biologique et dans d’autres réunions connexes.  M. Chiarolla, qui a une formation de juriste, est titulaire d’un diplôme en droit de l’Université de Milan et d’une maîtrise en études juridiques internationales supérieures de l’Université de Vérone.  En janvier 2010, il a obtenu un doctorat en droit au Centre Queen Mary d’études de droit commercial de l’Université de Londres.

Hai‑Yuean Tualima est actuellement boursière à la Division des savoirs traditionnels de l’OMPI.  Avant d’intégrer l’OMPI, elle a travaillé au sein d’un cabinet privé spécialisé dans les questions juridiques se rapportant aux Maoris, ses activités étant axées en particulier sur la question des savoirs traditionnels et le rapport Wai 262, ainsi que sur la propriété commerciale.  Mme Tualima a également travaillé au sein de la Commission de réforme législative du Samoa dans le cadre d’un projet visant à établir un Conseil national du patrimoine pour le Samoa, et a collaboré au projet relatif aux savoirs traditionnels.  Plus récemment, elle a travaillé pour le Bureau de l’Ombudsman du Samoa à la mise en place de l’Institut national des droits humains.  Titulaire d’une licence et d’une maîtrise de droit (mention très honorable) de l’Université de Waikato, elle a été admise au barreau à la Cour suprême de la Nouvelle‑Zélande et du Samoa.

Daphne es Jurista en la División de la OMPI de Conocimientos Tradicionales.  Antes de incorporarse a la OMPI, fue profesora titular de Derecho de propiedad intelectual en la Universidad de Reading (Reino Unido) y profesora invitada de Derecho de marcas en el King’s College de Londres y la Universidad Queen Mary de Londres. Claudio es Jurista en la División de Conocimientos Tradicionales de la Organización Mundial de la Propiedad Intelectual (OMPI).  Antes de incorporarse a la OMPI, fue Investigador en el Institut du développement durable et des relations internationales  (IDDRI) y profesor titular de “Políticas de biodiversidad” y “Derecho internacional público” en la Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) de París.  Asimismo, fue Asesor Principal del Ministerio Italiano de Medio Ambiente, Tutela del Territorio y del Mar.  En el ejercicio de esas funciones, en nombre de la Presidencia italiana del Consejo de la Unión Europea, participó en las negociaciones de la 12ª Conferencia de las Partes en el Convenio sobre la Diversidad Biológica de las NN.UU. y en reuniones conexas.  Jurista de formación, es licenciado en Derecho por la Universidad de Milán, y posee el título de Maestría en Estudios Jurídicos Internacionales Avanzados por la Universidad de Verona.  En enero de 2010, obtuvo el título de Doctor en Derecho por el Centre for Commercial Law Studies, adscrito a la Universidad Queen Mary de Londres.
