Short CV of this session´s experts:

Ms. Giulia Ragonesi is an Italian Lawyer, specialized in Intellectual Property and she is the author of several articles on IP related issues, published during her collaboration for the Italian review “Il Diritto D’Autore”. She joined the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in 2009 as Associate Legal Officer within the Patent Law Division, Innovation and Technology Transfer Section.  She currently works for the Legislative and Policy Advice Section, Patent Law Division, WIPO.  

Ms. Carolina Hanssen is a Colombian lawyer specialized in Intellectual property. She has worked as an attorney in the Intellectual Property Department of two Colombian Law firms: Lloreda Camacho & Co and Baker & McKenzie Colombia S.A.S. Her experience has been focused in patents, utility models, trade secrets, data protection and patent litigation.  She studied law at the Javeriana University in Bogota, Colombia, and has a master in Intellectual Property law and New technologies from the Rosario University in Bogota, Colombia. She was also awarded with the Asociacion Interamericana de Propiedad Intelectual, “ASIPI’s scholarhip” to study an Intellectual Property LLM (2009-2010) in the John Marshall Law school of Chicago (USA). She joined the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in 2015 as Legal Officer within the Patent Law Division, Innovation and Technology Transfer Section.  She currently works for the Legislative and Policy Advice Section, Patent Law Division, WIPO.
