WIPO is pleased to announce the official launch of the WIPO Toolkit on New Product Development and Inventions in the Public Domain.
Building on and complementing the WIPO guides on identifying and using inventions in the public domain, this toolkit supports systematic decision-making in the development of new products and services based on inventions in the public domain. It includes a set of practical tools to help researchers, inventors, and entrepreneurs make informed decisions during each stage in the new product development process and successfully bring their products and services to the market.

The event will include an introduction of the Toolkit and associated reference and learning resources by their principal authors as well as reflections from representatives from WIPO member states involved in their piloting. It will be held in English, with interpretation into French and Spanish.
