Europe PubMed Central (Europe PMC) is a portal developed by the European Bioinformatics Institute, The University of Manchester, and the British Libraryin collaboration with the founders of PubMed and PubMed Central and the National Center for Biotechnology Information.
Europe PMC provides a single point of access to full-text articles and abstracts available through PubMed. It also offers useful features and functionality such as links to other relevant content, integrated text and data mining tools.
In its coverage, Europe PMC offers free access to biomedical literature resources including about 22 million PubMed abstracts, Europe PMC full text articles (about 2.2 million, of which over 400,000 are open access), over 4 million European, US, and International patent abstracts, National Health Service (NHS) clinical guidelines, 0.5 million Agricola records, supplemented with Chinese Biological Abstracts and the Citeseer database.
