In Barranquilla, Colombia, two young Colombian entrepreneurs are revolutionizing high heels with the support of their local Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISC).

Two entrepreneurs, Ms. María Almanza and Mr. Luis Miguel Segovia, have partenered to create a line of comfortable, yet fashionable high heels. They were able to develop, research and protect their innovation through a patent application, and bring it to the market with help from their TISC, in the Colombian city of Barranquilla's Chamber of Commerce.

Through the guidance and advise of the TISC staff at their local TISC, the partners have successfully put a patent application through and are awaiting their patent to be granted.
